Our research is based on three platforms:
- The SmartFarm Innovation Network® is a community-based agricultural research and communications network throughout Virginia.
- Cyberbiosecurity focuses on identifying and reducing the risk of security vulnerabilities.
- Data analytics are essential for understanding the complexity of data that technology is delivering and translating into actionable decisions.

CAIA Big Event - March 16, 2023
CAIA’s Big Event is even BIGGER than last year. This year, our emphasis turns outward to explore CAIA’s opportunity to facilitate impactful engagement with stakeholders. The event will feature a morning program, for CAIA Affiliate Faculty, of speakers and panel discussions focused on identifying engagement opportunities. In the afternoon, we will spotlight the work of our graduate students through the inaugural CAIA Graduate Student Poster Presentation Contest.

VT Summit on Invasive Species | February 10
The Invasive Species Working Group was recently selected to develop Phase II proposals for the Destination Area 2.0 call. A key step in developing the Phase II proposal is engaging with folks across campus directly or indirectly working on invasives, including you.

The CCI Researcher Showcase is an opportunity for the students to present their ongoing research projects and share their methods and results to date. There will be awards for the top three posters.
