CAIA Testbed: Smithfield Horse Center

The CAIA testbed at the Smithfield Horse Center is available for research, teaching, and extension activities focused on precision monitoring and management of sheep and horses. The site is equipped with a 1100 square foot sheep feed yard instrumented for automated individual animal monitoring. The farm also contains 4 horse pastures which can be instrumented with individual animal monitoring technologies. The Smithfield Horse Center is on campus, within walking distance of most buildings.
