Research Profile:
In our research, we map honey bee foraging by observing their waggle dances (see for example foraging in the row crops of the Tidewater AREC: https://youtu.be/UYe-gNlzjZc). We hope that this will tell us where the landscape is healthy for pollinators in general. Furthermore, we are interested in developing methods to map species distribution from airborne environmental DNA (eDNA). Such mapping would have implications for ecological studies, conservation, and pest management.
